Aardman Academy Course

In May 2021, I was part of the Stop Motion 1 course at the Aardman Academy. The 12-week course focused on understanding and experimenting with physical movements in stop motion. Our main goal was to tell a story or show an emotion through actions and gestures.

In January 2022, I started the follow-up course: Stop Motion 2.
This time, we focussed on conversational acting. I experimented with lip-sync techniques and learned to work with the character's voice.
Recording and analysing LAVs (Live-Action Video reference) were, like in Stop Motion 1, a key element in creating a believable character performance.
